Investigating the mechanism of Echovirus 30 cell invasion

چکیده
Viruses invade susceptible cells through a complex mechanism before injecting their genetic material into them. This causes direct damage to the host cell, as well resulting in disease corresponding system. Echovirus type 30 (E30) is member of Enterovirus B group and has recently been reported cause central nervous system (CNS) disorders, leading viral encephalitis meningitis children. In this review, we aim help improving understanding mechanisms CNS diseases caused by E30 for subsequent development relevant drugs vaccines.

Echovirus 30, Jiangsu Province, China
An outbreak of aseptic meningitis occurred in the northern area of Jiangsu Province in China from January to July in 2003. A total of 1,681 cases were involved in this outbreak, and 99% of patients were <15 years of age. To identify the etiologic agent, 66 cerebrospinal fluid specimens were tested by cell culture. Eighteen showed an enteroviruslike cytopathic effect on MRC-5 human fetal diploid...
متن کاملAntiviral Activity of Itraconazole against Echovirus 30 Infection In Vitro
Objectives Echovirus 30 is a major cause of meningitis in children and adults. The aim of this study was to investigate whether the antifungal drug itraconazole could exhibit antiviral activity against echovirus 30. Methods The cytopathic effect and viral RNA levels were assessed in RD cells as indicators of viral replication. The effects of itraconazole were compared to those of two known an...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Transmission networks and population turnover of echovirus 30.
Globally, echovirus 30 (E30) is one of the most frequently identified enteroviruses and a major cause of meningitis. Despite its wide distribution, little is known about its transmission networks or the dynamics of its recombination and geographical spread. To address this, we have conducted an extensive molecular epidemiology and evolutionary study of E30 isolates collected over 8 years from a...
